The Fruit of the Spirit

GalatiansHoly SpiritPaul

Growing from within

In Galatians 5:22-23 Paul lists the fruit of the Spirit — the character that grows in a life led by God's Spirit. Note it is “fruit” (singular): one life, many expressions.

Nine qualities

  • Love, joy, peace

  • Longsuffering, gentleness, goodness

  • Faith, meekness, temperance

Against such there is no law. This is not produced by effort alone, but grown as we walk in the Spirit.

Application

Which fruit is most evident in your life right now? Which is least? Ask the Spirit to cultivate it, and look for one practical way to live it out today.
